A Brief History of Special Education edupodium
The relationship in this country between special education and regular education has been a tricky one. And so has the history of special education. As a former history teacher and a special eduction teacher I am personally connected with the path our nation and I have taken in the world of public education.
No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure.
Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts. The road to success and the road to failure are almost exactly the same.
